Vulnerabilities through the gendered lens: Lessons from Covid-19
With less than half of the year remaining to mark the end of 2020, we are still in the midst of chaos of social spreading and risk of contracting the Covid-19 pandemic, whilst the vaccine and medication is still under trials. The year 2020 marks the Silver Jubilee of Beijing Platform for Action, was supposed to be ground breaking for furthering gender equality. However, the present situation of the pandemic has toppled all expectations and we are even afraid of rolling back to the starting points in many cases.
The Women Studies Centre of CUSAT is initiating a discussion on the topic “Vulnerabilities through the Gendered lens: Lessons from Covid-19” through an International Webinar to discuss the issues of Covid-19 in general and specific challenges faced by women in the economy.
